I’m Carrie DeRue, a photographer who believes the most meaningful images come from real connection and quiet, genuine moments. Specializing in weddings and portraits, I’m drawn to emotion, storytelling, and the kind of authenticity that lasts long after the moment has passed. My style favors clean composition, natural light, and rich, honest color — images that feel true to the people in them.

Outside of photography, my world is full in the best ways. I’m a mom to three grown children and a stepmom to two wonderful boys who keep life interesting and joyful. At home, I’m usually followed by two cats and two dogs, each with their own personality and their own opinion about who gets the comfiest spot on the couch.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me traveling, discovering new places, or out on a bike ride clearing my head and soaking in the scenery. These parts of my life shape the way I see the world — with curiosity, gratitude, and a love for meaningful experiences.
